Gov’s Aide Hosts 300 Widows In Ika North East, South
THREE hundred widows drawn from various wards in Ika North East and Ika South Local Government Area, have been hosted by the Executive Assistant on Events to the state governor, Mr. Sebastian Okoh.
Mr. Sebastian Okoh, while playing host to the widows at Agadagidi Civic Centre at Umunede, said he is pleased to have them hosted and to thank God for His numerous blessings towards him and his family, Umunede kingdom and Ika nation in general.
He said it was a big task relocating back to Umunede, but expressed gratitude to God for protection and blessings, adding that celebrating God’s blessings and grace with the widows will bring joy and sense of fulfillment in his life.
Mr. Okoh charged the widows to always look up to God for their needs, saying that he is a believer of God, who has not failed anyone that depends on Him in truth and in faith.
Also, he said thanking God for the upliftment of Umunede kingdom and the governor is important, saying that God deserved all the praise and glory for the wonderful gifts to the people.
Speaking, the chairman of the occasion and the People’s Democratic Party chairman, Ika North East local government area, Chief Godwin Ogadi, commended the gesture of Mr. Okoh, noting that only few remember those in need.
He told the widows that the government of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is just settling down and that the governor being a grassroots governor is aware of their support and continuous prayer for the success of his government.
Chief Ogadi emphasised that Deltans will have every reason to be happy with the state governor who has remained committed to growth and development of the state and that the widows will be carried along.
Highpoint of the occasion was the presentation of clothing and cash gifts to the widows.
