Okowa inaugurates 14-man board for DESOPADEC

 
ASABA—Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has charged the 14-man Governing Board of the State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC, to ensure prudent management of resources of the commission for the benefits of the people.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony of the new board, he charged members to pursue the mandate of the board to the later.

The constituted board has Mr. Godwin Ebosa as Chairman, Chief William Makinde, Managing Director; Chief Askia Ogieh (Executive Director), Mr. Chris Ochor Ochor (Executive Director); Mr Philip Gbasin (Executive Director); Engr. Oristetimeyin Wood (Executive Director) while the representatives of the oil producing areas are Chief Amos Itiwhe, Chief Pius

Ovbije, Mr Jonathan Amitaye, Mr. Ovie Oghoore, Chief Thomas Ereyitomi, Mr Nnamdi Ezechi, Fidelis Oputa and Chief Favour Izoukumor.

He enjoined members of the board to imbibe the principles of fairness, equity and justice, which are the watchword of his administration.
