Buhari Appoints Atiku, Tinubu Vice Chairmen In Presidential Campaign Council
In a bid to ensure everyone important to his election bid is carried along, the All Progressives Congress presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, has named former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as integral parts of his Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
Atiku is to serve as vice-chairman (north) of the council, while Tinubu is to serve as vice-chairman of the PCC (south). Buhari will serve as chairman of the council and his running mate, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo as alternate chairman.
Former governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi is to serve as the head of the Policy, Research and Strategy directorate of the campaign, while former chief of army staff, Gen. Abdulrahman Danbazau was appointed as the head of the security directorate.
Atiku’s spokesman, Garba Shehu has been named as the spokesman of the Buhari Campaign Organisation.
Four women also got on the team, including member of the House of Representatives, Abike Dabiri-Erewa and former member of the House, Ms Temi Harriman.
