OTU UMUNNE CANVASSES SUPPORT FOR PDP- IKA WEEKLY

The Otu-Umunne political group has canvassed support for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate for Delta State, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa.

The group through Pa John Nwagimeje during a campiagn rally at Alihame, Agbor on Monday, January 19, 2015 appealed to Deltan sto vote overwhelmigly for Senator Okowa, who he described as a charismatic, intelligent, result oriented and focused political leader. He said the enabling environment that will improve on the lives of Deltans will be created if Okowa becomes governor a member of the group and community leader, Chief Philip Igumbor in his remark during the rally asserted that Deltans have a lot

to benefit if they voted Okowa as governor come February 28, 2015.
In the same vein, Elder (Dr.) Chukwuma Nwaonicha in an interview after the rally said that Okowa is the saviour God has sent to liberate Delta State from the shackles of poverty and underdevelopment. He however expressed optimism that come May 29, 2015 Senator Ifeanyi Okowa will be sworn-in as the next governor of Delta State.

Col Godwin Eboma, rtd, Real Admiral Peter Elumah, rtd, Hon. Robert Okobia, Hon Godwin Ezedom, Mrs. Cecilia Ogbonyeri, Chief James Aziken, Chief Martin Ogbe, Hon Mike Abanimoro were among party cheiftans that attended the rally.
