2015: I'll work for the success of Okowa in next month's election --- Obuh

A former Delta State governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sir Tony Obuh, has expressed his desire and willingness to work for the success of the party's governorship candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, in next month's election.
He said that having worked closely with Senator Okowa for a long time, he finds him very passionate about the well being of the people of Delta State, which he observed has earned him respect and acceptance across the state, maintaining that Okowa is a wonderful personality who has remained consistent in his service to the people.
Sir Obuh gave the assurance on Thursday, during a meeting between Senator Okowa and the leadership of National Association of Delta State Students, NADESTU in Asaba. He noted that having contested the PDP governorship primary, and a winner had emerged, he was bound to give his unflinching support to the party's candidate.
He disclosed that he went into the gubernatorial race with an open mind, with the intention of supporting whoever emerges victorious in the event that he did not get the party's ticket.
Sir Obuh, who is the immediate--past Permanent Secretary, Government House, Asaba, said he is ready to contribute his quota to ensure that candidates of the PDP for the various elective offices emerge victorious in the February election, stressing that it is the responsibility of every PDP member to work for the success of the party.
While describing Senator Okowa as, "my dear brother and friend," he former governorship aspirant expressed optimism that Okowa will win the governorship election next month, even as he urged Deltans, particularly the students community to support and vote Senator Okowa in the governorship election.
