Angry Okada riders in Agbor on rampage
Some Okada riders yesterday 31st of January 2016, set a Truck ablaze for killing one of their member whose name could not be ascertained as at press time.
The incident happened along the new Benin Asaba expressway by mariere Junction. The truck is said to belong to the construction company rehabilitating Dr. Whyte Street in Agbor.
Eye witnesses we spoke to, confirmed the incident, claiming the truck may have failed brake before colliding with the Okada rider who died at the spot.
But a man who gave his name as John, wondered why the truck was set ablaze, saying that it has blocked the Avenue for the deceased relations to get compensated. He further advised Ika youths not to be taking laws into their hands as this has its own great repercussions. Explaining further, he said such acts are alien to the people of Ika nation who are known to be peace loving.
Another eye witness who spoke on the condition of anonymity, advised truck owners to always maintain their trucks regularly to avoid future reoccurrence.
