EFCC seeks court’s order to seize Tompolo’s property

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, yesterday, brought an ex-parte application before a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos  seeking for an  order to  seize  all property belonging to former Niger Delta militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo (alias Tompolo), pending his arrest and arraignment before the court.

The embattled former militant leader was recently declared wanted by EFCC, following his failure to appear in court to face trial on the charge preferred against him.

Tompolo and the former Director of Nigeria Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Patrick Akpobolokemi and eight others were accused by EFCC of converting the money belonging to the agency to personal use.
