ONE BILLION NAIRA OFFER: OGBORU'S LOYALISTS SPITS FIRE; VOWS TO DECAMP TO PDP IF OGBORU STEPS DOWN FOR O'TEGA.

By: Barr. Uwakina Cletus.

It was gathered yesterday, that loyalists of the Labour Party governorship candidate Chief Great Ogboru are not happy over his rumoured intention to step down for Olorogun Emerhon O'tega of the APC. A very close confidant of Ogboru has confirmed that some of his ardent supporters has threatened to dump him, if he accepts the one billion naira offer made to him and defects to the APC. Some of them he said has made clear their intention to join the PDP, Should Ogboru step down for O'tega. The proposed action of Ogboru has been described as myopic, selfish, unprecedented, irrational, unconscionable and a betrayal of the common will of his supporters. However, if Ogboru chooses to betray his supporters and defect to the APC, it may signal the end of the road for his political career. In the words of one of his supporters, "why will Ogboru step down for a political lilliput like O'tega? If he wants to step down, let him step down for Okowa". This statement from the Ogboru's camp seems to be saying that his supporters are more at home with an Okowa governorship. This may be attributable to his sterling qualities and wealth of experience.

Deltans are watching to see the end of this matter.
