On Saturday April 11,2015, we the good people of Delta State came out
in our numbers in order to determine our future and to choose a man whom
we believe can give us a better future. A man whom we believe can pilot
the affairs of our Great State for the next 4 years and even beyond. We
did not believe in you just because you
made promises to us during your campaigns and various rallies but
because you are a man who know your onions i.e "You be man wey sabi".
Skilled and experienced in the art of public administration and
governance, you have been a top politician for over 2 decades and have
led in various capacities where he you shone like a diamond.
A man who rose astronomically from the humble post of an LGA secretary to the a Senator of the the Federal Republic of Nigeria and now the Governor of the this highly esteemed State, your credentials are simply "awesome".
In view of these, we lent you our total support through pur voices and pur votes to bring you into power because we believe in your vision and what you stand for. You are the definition of a modern day leader who stands in the gap between the old and new generation in terms of age and in personal ideology. Most importantly, you were the only detribalized candidate who stood for the election and you "deservedly" won our mandate because you chose a "One Delta" above tribal sentiments. You moved through all nooks and crannies of the State to preach your gospel of "One Delta" unlike your fellow contestants. You promised "Prosperity for all Deltans" without mincing words and you were very clear about your S.M.A.R.T. Agenda.
In the process won the heart of the majority. You clearly were the only man who knew, in clear terms, what he's going to do in Government House, Asaba. The rest just needed power as a right and not because they have something to offer us.
We've followed our hearts and have fought a worthy fight because we believe in you. We believe you are the "Chosen one" ordained by God himself. We'll do our part to ensure your administration achieve all its set goals and come 2019, we will still join forces together to keep you in power because we believe your works shall speak for themselves.
We look forward to May 29 with so much enthusiasm. On that day, you will be sworn in to serve your people under oath and after that you will begin your prosperity agenda for us all. We can't wait to see you mount the throne you really deserve. I can beat my chest and attest to the fact that you will take Delta State to a whole new height and make us the envy of others.
Once again, on behalf of Deltans Diaspora, I heartily congratulate our new Governor and Leader, Senator Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa. May the good Lord give you his divine enablement to pilot the affairs of this "Great" enclave
