OBUH THANKS IKA SOUTH FOR ENSURING HITCH-FREE ELECTIONS

A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chieftain and former governorship aspirant in Delta State, Sir Anthony Obuh has thanked the people of Ika South local government area for ensuring a hitch-free elections. Sir Obuh, who spoke with newsmen at his residence in Agbor on Monday, April 13, 2015 expressed joy that the people of Ika South co-operated among themselves both during and after the 2015 general elections hence, there was no record of violence in the local government. He prayed the Almighty god to help the local government realize her vision of building a better society for her people.

He described the Governor-elect for Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as an experienced politician who has the leadership quality to govern and support of Deltans, adding that the God who has given Senator Okowa the opportunity to rule the State will give him the wisdom to succeed.

He advised the winner of the House of Assembly election in Ika South, Mr. Festus Chukwuyem Okoh, alias, Chuky Dandy, not to reneged on his electioneering promises to the people and extend an olive branch to his colleagues that contested with him.

He commended all who contested for the House of Assembly seat in the local government, saying that they are all eminently qualified even if the position was meant for one person.
