DELTA GOVERNORSHIP IS NOT FOR LEARNERS; ON OKOWA WE STAND

By Barr. Uwakina Cletus.

It is agreed everywhere that of all the candidates jostling for the governorship seat of Delta State, the candidate of PDP, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa is the most viable and accepted across the three senatorial district of the state. His viability and widespread acceptance is well derived from his overwhelming wealth of experiences over his opponents in the management and administration of public institutions and resources. As a man who has held key and enviable positions of trust in government both at the local, state and federal levels, there is no fear in trusting his fidelity for delivery as governor if elected. God has deposited in him every capabilities required to take Delta State to enviable hub of comparison any where in the world. He is blessed with the rare opportunity of experiencing government at all levels both in the executive and legislative arm. His level of participation in government has obviously exposed him to both local and international relations that is needed to provide the best opportunities for Deltans.

Delta State being a strategic state in the affairs of the nation, it is only desirable to allow experience count as yardstick for choosing our governor and it is only an Okowa that possesses that kind of experience that is needed to take the state to the next level. His indisputable long term experiences and acclimatization with the affairs, policies and workings of government at all levels, are indispensable treasures that cannot be wished away.
Our opponents in the Labour Party and APC are lacking in requisite knowledge and experiences required to govern the State of Delta or any other state in the world. They can best be described as political jobbers seeking to reap where they did not sow. Their political history is replete of failure, and famous for contesting elections every election year without result.

In the past, the name Great Ogboru of Labour Party have prominently featured in negative indulgences that endanger the sanctity of our political hemisphere. He is associated with coup plotting, deceit and inconsistency. People perceive his coming to contest election in Delta State, every election year as a mercantilist agenda of defrauding well meaning Deltans and Nigerians. The news of his willingness to accept a one billion Naira offer from the APC to step down for O'tega is shameful, and goes further to confirm that even his opponents knows that he is in this election for commerce. The APC had the guts to approach him because, deriving from his antecedents they are aware that he is in the election to enhance his bank account. Ogboru ought to be aware that his recent romance with the APC is viewed with suspect by a conscious mass base in Delta State. We can no longer be deceived.

If Otega has any asset in stock in the arena of politics, it Will be one of gross inexperience and ignorance in the affairs and management of public sector. We will in the least not allow an inept and JJC upcoming politician to manage our collective destiny. Delta State governorship is not for learners like O'tega and Ogboru, if they wish to govern Delta State, they are free to start their tutelage of governance from a lesser position, from where they can gradually aspire to be governors in due course. Apprenticeship is required for mastership.

Deltans are resolved and total in their commitment to vote Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as governor of Delta State come April 11, 2015

ON OKOWA WE STAND
