Victor Nwokolo Empowers People of Ika

The member representing Ika Federal Constituency, Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Victor Nwokolo has given empowerment to selected persons of Ika ethnic nationality.

The empowerment package include: 5 Cars given to 5 persons, 20 Wheel Chairs given to physically challenge persons and 35 Tricycles given to 35 youths in Ika land.

Hon. Nwokolo at a Christmas Part held at Owa Model Primary School, Boji Boji Owa, gave out N20,000 each to 200 students as education assistance.

A report from Ika Federal Constituency, N20,000 each were given to 100 women in Ika Land by representative Victor Nwokolo.

Speaking at the occasion, Hon. Nwokolo appreciated people for the good they did during his campaign as he said that those who workd for him are not identified spiritually but physically.

He said that this assistance for people is not just from him alone but from Ika collectively.

The Delta State Senatorial Representative, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa who was the chairman of the occasion, said that he was full of joy when he saw the programme of Victor Nwokolo’s help to those who worked for him during the campaign.

He said that this empowerment is just the beginning as he congratulate those who benefited from it and urged those who are not, to have patient for the nest empowerment.

Senator Okowa also urged those that benefited to bless people mest to them as they blessed today.

The State PDP Chairman, Barr. Peter Nwaoboshi said that Victor Nokolo is taking after his political mentor Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.

He added that since 1979 when he started following the Senator, what Okowa has done, no body has done it.

Hoe told the political leaders that it they do well in PDP, people will do well for them as he said that if Hon. Victor Nwokolo continue to help people like this, he can go back to the house if he want.

Barr. Nwaoboshi described Nwokolo as first representative who empower people like this in Ika land.

He also urged the leaders to give little to people who put them  there on what ever they are getting from office.

He advised people who benefited from the help to remember Hon. Victor Nwokolo and PDP as he thanked the Royal Chiefs for their presence.

Some persons who benefited Cars from Hon. Nwokolo are: Mr. John Amufa, Mr. Uwadia Azubuike, Hon. Smath and Jegbefume.

Obiazi Nwijere, one of the benefited person thanked Senator Okowa and Hon. Nwokolo for their helps as he advised youths to work hard.

Asserting on the risky nature of commercial bike riding, Nwokolo said that nobody has rode bike for five years and above then still maintains body fitness, adding that either the person has fracture or develops short-sightedness while urging them to avail themselves the opportunity of acquiring skill instead.

Speaking on why he offered such help to needies, he opined that it is part of his manifesto to help the less-privilege, especially women.

“If you help a man, you help a person but if you help a woman you help a nation” he said.

In the aspect of insecurity in Ika land he charged every member of the community to take  it a point of responsibility to ensure the safety of lives and property of every one around him/her by reporting any suspect to the security agents.

While he assured the people of Ika of more empowerment in future as he promised to create Skill Acquisition Centres.

On his part, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, advised the beneficiaries to also extend such heart of kindness to any body that comes across them as it was done to them, as he thanked every body that graced the occasion especially the traditional leaders, the Obi of Owa Kingdom and the Obi of Otolokpo Kingdom  personalities that honored the event include: Chief Peter Nwaoboshi, Chairman, People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Delta State Chapter, Hon. Ebonka, Chief Laurence Oshiegbu, Prof. Akokotu among others.
