By Charles Emeni
Delta State Deputy Governor, Barr. Kingsley Otuaro has assured that the Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa administration will not compromise the protection of lives and property of citizens of the state.
Barr. Otuaro, who gave the assurance when he played host to the Federal Road Safety Corps boss in Asaba recently said, government in the State places high premium on the peace and stability of the state and as such, would do anything within the law to sustain the existing peace and unity of the state.
Because of the importance government places on peace and protection of lives and properties of Deltans, he said the Gov. Okowa administration has made peace one of the cardinal elements of its five-point agenda, adding that the administration was not unmindful of the importance of peace in the socio-political and economic development of the state.
He said that the state government planned reforms in the health, infrastructural and educational sectors are aimed at bringing a new dawn that Deltans yearn for and ensuring that they live a quality and peaceful life that would enable them realise their full potentials for the overall development of the state
