In an exercise to screen teachers involved in fraudulent documents to get into service, Edo state
governor, Adams Oshiomhole yesterday nabbed a teacher Mrs. Augusta Odemwigwe who could not read properly. She was asked to read an affidavit she swore to declare her age but couldn't.
The governor collected it and read it out to her and asked her to repeat a sentence there and she still couldn't. Then he asked, ‘‘if you cannot read this, i wonder if you will be able to write it on the board!''.
Mrs. Odemwigwe has been teaching for 20years.
