READ Profile Of Female Ministerial Nominee Set To Appear Before Senate Commitee
The Senate has made public the Curriculum Vitae (CV) of Amina J Mohammed, one of the female ministerial nominees sent to the upper chamber by President Muhammadu Buhari.
This comes on the heels of the screening process set to hold tomorrow, October 13, as the Senate resume plenary session.
Amina Mohammed (Kaduna state) is at the moment, been quizzed over a petition against her before the Senate committee on ethics, privileges and public petitions.
The Senate had on Thursday, October 8, asked its committee on ethics, privileges and public petition to consider all petitions against ministerial nominees before Tuesday’s screening.
Danjuma Lar representing Kaduna South senatorial district presented a petition to the Senate against the state nominee, saying her nomination was a violation of Section 147 of the 1999 Constitution.
Although she hails from Gombe state, she is reportedly representing Kaduna, her husband’s state.
However, in her presentation to the committee, Amina said: “I am assuming that I will be representing Gombe state because I am not from Kaduna state. My father is from Gombe state and I was born in Gombe state. I was only educated in Kaduna state.”
