AGBOR-TECHNICAL COLLEGE: WE ARE SET TO COMPLETE PHASE ONE OF REHABILITATION WORKS IN TWO WEEKS- Engr Prah

The first phase of the on-going works at the Agbor Technical College, Agbor which include the rehabilitation of existing structures, construction of new classrooms and administrative blocks, student's hostels and staff quarters and the reconstruction of the long abandoned technical workshops', is set to be completed and handed over to the school authorities soonest.

This was disclosed to Ika Weekly reporters by the site engineer, Engr. Steve Prah, on Tuesday, September 24, 2015. Engr. Prah, maintained that works ought to have been completed by now, but for bad weather which slowed down the pace of construction, nevertheless, the project has been scheduled for commissioning and will be handed over to the school in two weeks time.

A tour round the school revealed that most of the works have been completed with those yet to be completed at the final stages of plastering and painting. Depite the work in progress, academic activities have resumed in full swing at the college as students were seen receiving lessons in their various classrooms.

When asked to ascertain the safety measures taken to prevent any mishap especially, with the commencement of academic activities while construction was still in progress, Engr Prah, stated that areas still under construction have been marked as restricted areas and out of bounds to non-construction workers. He further explained that the classrooms as well as staffrooms for all academic activities have long been completed before resumption of school.

He reiterated his commitment to the speedy completion and handing over of the first phase of the project as he used the medium to wish all Deltans and indeed Nigerians, a happy 55th Independent anniversary celebrations.
