Okowa Praises Ika North East Council Boss, As She Flags Off Sure-P Disbursement Programme

The senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the present upper Chamber of the National Assembly Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Aurthur Okowa has lauded the Ika North East Local Government Chairman, Princess Ijenwa Okunonke over her implementation of Sure-P, a programme designed by the Federal Government of Nigeria to re-invest the income realized as a result of oil subsidy removal.

Senator Okowa who spoke to pressmen at the flag off ceremony of the Local Government Chairman’s Empowerment Programme which was held on Friday June 21, 2013 stated that the way and manner in the Council Boss implemented the programme in the Local Government is unbeatable anywhere.

He noted that all strata in the society was involved in the planning and execution of the programme, saying explicitly his support for the way she implemented the programme, adding that Sure-P is a continuous exercise which will definitely affect the life of every one with time.
