The Abuja administration has announced that there will be no water in various parts of the Nigerian capital for three days.
In a statement signed by the Chief Press secretary to the Abuja minister, Muhammad Sule, the disruption in water supply will last from August 23 – 25.
The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, University of Abuja and Gwagwalada town will be affected, the spokesman said. Mr. Sule said the disruption will be necessitated by the construction work going on at the Abuja Rail project along that axis to make room for the relocation of a major water trunk line.
The residents dwelling along these axes are advised to store enough water that will last for this period, as normal water supply will be restored by Monday, August 26.
The administration said it regrets any inconveniences this might cause those residing along the axis.
