SHOCKING – Nearly 300 Policemen Killed, Along With 243 Hoodlums


The po­lice commissioner in Lagos state, Fatai Owoseni, has said that 295 policemen died under his command in 2015.

He said some of the men died through illnesses, while oth­ers died from accident-relat­ed incidents and or were shot by criminals.

The commissioner paid tribute to the fallen offic­ers and offered his sincerest condolences to their families.

Owoseni said that be­tween December 12, 2015 and January 6, 2016, no few­er than 47 suspected armed robbers and 14 cultists who had been on the wanted list of the police and the State Security Service (SSS) for murder were arrested.

He said that two armed robbers were killed during a gunfight with police, while 16 differ­ent pieces of ammunition and 24 ve­hicles were recovered.

Also, in related news, the Rivers state police commissioner, Musa Kimo has dis­closed that men of the com­mand killed a total of 145 suspected kidnappers and 98 armed robbers in 2015.

He said 329 suspected kidnappers and another 187 suspected armed robbers were arrested during the pe­riod, while a total of 337 kid­napped victims were rescued by his men last year.

Kimo, who spoke in Port Harcourt on Thursday when he displayed arms and ammu­nition recovered from hood­lums, said 375 suspected cultists were arrested in various parts of the state over the past one year.

Kimo said 105 robberies, in­cluding seven bank robberies, were foiled by his men in 2015, while 13 per­sons were held for rape and defilement within the period.

He said the arms and am­munition recovered from hoodlums in the state in 2015, included 80 AK-47 rifles, 123 pump action shotguns, 4,251 lo­cally made pistols, 56 assault rifles, one General Purpose Machine Gun, and 11,917 assorted items of ammunition.
