Buhari Reveals Those He’ll Punish In Education Sector


President Buhari has sounded a note of warning to corrupt officials in the education sector.

The Punch reports that Buhari said that his administration would not cover up anyone found guilty of mismanagement of government funds provided for the ‎upkeep of the nation’s tertiary institutions.

He said this today, Wednesday, November 25, at a special convocation ceremony for the installation of the Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi, as the ninth Chancellor of the University of Benin, Edo State.

Buhari who was represented by the Minister of Education, Alhaji Adamu Adamu, noted that while his administration was committed to providing funding for the revitalisation of the education sector, “it will not fold it’s arms and watch unscrupulous elements mismanage these very valuable resources. The Federal Ministry of Education is all ears to ensure that wastage and leakages are blocked and perpetrators are brought to book.”Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari will be on his way to Malta tomorrow, Thursday, November 26 to participate in the 2015 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting which begins on Friday.President Buhari has sounded a note of warning to corrupt officials in the education sector.
