Delta PDP Governorship leading Candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa pledged to support sporting activities in Delta State if elected governor of Delta State come February 28th, 2015.
This was made known to Deltans during the Novelty Football Match put together in honour of the distinguished Senator and PDP Delta State guber flag-bearer "Ifeanyi Okowa" featuring the likes of AUSTIN JAY-JAY OKOCHA as the Captain and other Ex-Super Eagles Stars together with Edo/Delta players which also featured the likes of Captain Pius Sinebe as the goal keeper, Hon Michael Diden A.K.A. Ejele as one of the players.
Super Star "Kanu Nwankwo" also made special appearance at the Stadium to join his fellow Ex-Super Eagles Stars in honouring Senator Okowa (Delta PDP Governorship Candidate).
The novelty match which held at the WARRI TOWNSHIP STADIUM was witnessed by thousands of supporters who came from different nooks and crannies of the State and beyond.
Fans at the Stadium expressed utmost satisfaction with the novelty match.
According to them, today is a great day, a day that can never be forgotten,stating that their spirit got lifted with happiness to see Ex-Super Eagles Stars and our leaders play.
In expressing further their happiness,they said they are happy to see the Delta PDP Governorship Candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa taking the first shot before the commencement of the match saying that he truly deserves the Novelty Football Match and prayed that God almighty grants him his heart desire.
Meanwhile Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa has expressed appreciation to Ex-Super Eagles and all the players for the honour giving to him, pledging to make sure that sporting activity is given high priority during his tenure as governor if elected" he said.
