DELTA 2015: MBIRI MONARCH CALLS FOR SUPPORT FOR OKOWA

During the week at the Royal Palace of the HRM (Dr.) Ifeanyichukwu Alekwe II, (JP) the Obi of Mbiri kingdom, in Ika North East local government area, the royal father appealed to Deltans in general to vote Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as the governor of Delta State, saying that Okowa is not going to be governor of Ika or Anioma alone but that of the entire Delta State. “Okowa will carry every one along. I appeal to all traditional rulers in Ika land to help our son Okowa to fulfill his governorship aspiration. He who God has blessed, no man can curse and Okowa is one who God has blessed. He needs our support. When we support Okowa to victory, I am confident, he will reciprocate with the good governance of Delta State.” The royal father also expressed pleasure with the Ika Weekly newspaper for reporting the truth always. “Ika Weekly newspaper is truly the unbiased community tabloid of Ika nation that is not sentimental. Ika Weekly newspaper is indeed one of the best newspapers in Nigeria.”

ON YOUTHS
Don't let us apportion blame towards anybody. Let us beg our youths that are destroying their lives to drop their weapons and turn a new leaf. The destruction in our land is becoming alarming. Destroying lives does not urge well for peace and progress of any people. As against carrying weapons, let the youths come open to explain to Nigerians their grievances.
There was youth restiveness in the Niger Delta area and the government responded adequately. Let our youths do the same and tell the government their problems. It is also a shameful thing that on a large scale, insurgency is also decimating our nation. I appeal to all tribes and indeed all traditional rulers to come together and pray for the stop page of carnage in our nation.

ON SECURITY AGENTS
I give kudos to the Nigerian army and other security agents for curtailing the spread of insurgency and defending the territorial integrity of our dear nation. The Boko Haram people should also come open to tell us their grievances. I and the good people of Mbiri kingdom also appreciate our executive governor, Dr. Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan for rehabilitating the Mbiri Command Road. I appreciate the role all my titled chiefs are playing to ensure peace and stability in Mbiri kingdom.
