Uduaghan Visits Delta Line Loading Bay, Assures Of Govt Support
DELTA State Commissioner for Transport Mr. Vincent Uduaghan has paid an unscheduled visit to the Delta Line Company, loading Bay to ascertain how tickets and passengers were handled.
Uduaghan, while inspecting offices of the Inter-state Booking Clerks, as well as their transaction record books, charged them to be transparent and be sincerely committed to the course of moving the company forward.
Also during the Inspection, Uduaghan had a chat with the Head of the Courier (parcel service) Section, Mr. Okolo Anthony Ngozi, on how effective, they carry out their operations.
Okolo Anthony showed the commissioner their ticket booklets, operational record books, as well as their store, where various items belonging to customers awaiting to be claimed were kept.
Uduaghan, equally inspected the Intra-state Booking Clerk’s records of operation, as well as various financial lodgments with banks, from the beginning of the year 2016, stressing that such be copied out for his perusal.
The commissioner appealed to the staff to be patient with the Governor Okowa . It led administration, saying that Government was on top of how to make the company function properly.
He further told them to be dedicated in their services and put in their best, adding that they should have a renewed spirit and come to him with information, ideas or suggestions that could help in re-shaping the company for good, stressing that his office is ever open for such constructive contributions.
Uduaghan charged the staff to always handle their customers with civility, while he equally commended customers that patronize the Company to be steadfast as he wished all and sundry a prosperous new year 2016.
