ORIKEZE AVENUE, AGBOR UNDER CONSTRUCTION
AT LAST ORIKEZE AVENUE, AGBOR UNDER CONSTRUCTION. ALL THANKS TO GOV. IFEANYI OKOWA.
By Vincent Oshiagwu, (DSNM).
Residence of Orikeze Avenue, Ime-Obi, Agbor in Ika South LGA are smiling and heaving some sighs of relief as the government of senator Dr. Okowa has come to their rescue to get the road fixed. The road which has been in sorry and deploarable state since the late 70s is gradually wearing a new look with massive construction going on now.
The construction work is being handled by PATDOH NIG LTD, known for quality jobs. In a chart with the contractor, Engr. Tony Onyagwu at the project site yesterday, he said the road construction which began on the 4th of January 2016 will be completed in 90 days., This is evident with the speed and quality of work at the site at the moment.
Residents who spoke on the development expressed great delight and appreciation to the state government for rescuing them from the hardship posed by the bad position of the road for over three decades.
Mr. Sholuku Hycent said since 2002 that he has lived in the area, the road has been in bad condition, going from bad to worst especially whenever it rained. Accoding to him, the residence resigned to fate as past administrations didn't look their way despite many pleas and complaints.
In his words "We were surprised and delighted when Gov. Okowa came to our rescue to get this road done". It really shows a governor responsive to the yearnings of the people and we say God bless the governor. We are indeed very happy he concluded.
