Ahead of the event, the company held a Press Conference at the Nippon Grand Hotel 1st December about the 3Days United Nations World Disability Week Events
Day1: Visitation to homes of people living with disabilities
Day2:Walk for Love, free Eye test & Glasses, Exhibition which will be held at the Millennium Park, Abuja on the 3rd of December
Day 3:Novelty football Match at the SOHO 24 Sport centre Gwarimpa express, Kado Abuja, Nigeria.. that will round up the events.
In honour of the United Nations World Disability Day...We at Big Church Foundation would like to mobilize support from friends and notable people in the society to lay the foundation for a future of greater inclusion of persons living with Disabilities
People with disability face many challenges
Disability Access and Inclusion Plans are a requirement under the Disability Services Act 1993 (amended 2004) to ensure that public authorities make their services, facilities and information accessible for people with disability. Having accessible and inclusive services, facilities and information, people with disability are enabled to lead lives of greater independence and participate and have choice in our community.Big Church Foundation is set to empower 37,000 youths with a target of 1000 youths from the 36 states of the Federation into different business sectors like Agriculture,ict and also via Charity.
As a member of the Lions club with a duty to serve and touch lives of people around us who have special needs...Big Church Foundation will be doing Free Eye Tests,Handing out free corrective and reading glasses for the aged and youths and also free Cataract tests.
We will be looking regain his or sight and help out by offering follow up free eye surgeries to those who would require treatments.
Big Church Foundation will be partnering with Lions Club International to bring its free humanitarian services to Abuja, which will take place right after our walk for love on Saturday,3rd December 2016.
The Entertainer's Charity Football match will be held at the SOHO 24 Sport centre Gwarimpa express, Kado Abuja, Nigeria..this will round up the events and the match will feature the finest Nigerian Celebrities, Comedians and entertainers in the Industry.
World Disability Week events will be rounded up at the said Novelty football Match which will be held on 4th December 2016 Kick Off The CEO, Big Church Foundation, Dr Olakunle Churchill decide to roll out the drums for this exciting event at this time of the year with the major objectives which includes assessing the current status of the Convention on the Rights of persons with disabilities .
It seeks to increase awareness on how to implement measures to improve lives of disabled people all over the world.
The global blueprint for action summons us to “leave no one behind”.
