Governor Suntai Holds Talks With Sacked Commissioners, Advisers
Taraba State Governor, Mr. Danbaba Suntai, on Friday, held talks with sacked commissioners and special advisers as they paid a solidarity visit to him at Government House, Jalingo.
Suntai had on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 dissolved the State Executive Council, leaving only his assistants, few days after he returned from a 10-month stay in German and American hospitals following injuries he sustained in an air crash in Yola.
The governor, who also transmitted a letter to the House of Assembly intimating to them his desire to resume duties, appointed a new Secretary to the State Government and Chief of Staff.
The letter is now a subject of litigation as 16 out of the 24-member legislature rejected the letter, asking the governor to go back and continue with his treatment as he was not fit enough to resume duties.
