Okowa Was Destined For Great Achievements -- Eboigbe
Jonathan Onwuka
A chieftain of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, in Ika North East local government area of Delta State, Hon. Ifeanyi Eboigbe, has described the Delta State Governor-elect, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, as a man destined for great achievements
He made the assertion last weekend at Ubulu-Uno, in Aniocha South local government area, during an interactive session with journalists. He said Senator Okowa emerging governor-elect of Delta State was the doing of God, as according to him, " Senator Okowa has been destined and prepared by God to be a succour to people in need."
He disclosed that since attaining adulthood Senator Okowa has continued to touch lives, long before he even contemplated venturing into politics, adding that, "Senator Okowa's life has been defined by his closeness to people, especially the indigents in the society. He has consistently committed himself to assisting those in need without any consideration of ethnic origin, religious affiliation nor social standing.""
Hon. Eboigbe who expressed confidence on the ability of the governor-elect to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Delta State through good good and accountable governance, which he assured would bring improved standard of living to Deltans, commended the electorates in the state for overwhelmingly voting Senator Okowa, an action, he opined reflected his (Okowa) general acceptance across the state.
While calling on Deltans to continue to support, pray and work for a peaceful and prosperous Delta State, he enjoined those who lost in the just concluded general elections, particularly that of the governorship, to join hands with the winners to move Delta State forward, stressing that, it is only in a peaceful environment that development can thrive.
