Pregnant woman in labour dies after allegedly being delayed by policemen for not wearing face mask in Ogun State

A pregnant woman who was in labour died today after she was allegedly delayed by police officers for not wearing a face mask in the Ogun Waterside local government area of Ogun state.

According to reports, the deceased, Waidat Adedeji, went into labour and was being rushed on a motorcycle by one of her children to the Ita-Otu General hospital when they were stopped by police officers at Sowore checkpoint. The police officers inquired why they were not wearing face masks and also not obeying the social distancing order of the state government.

It was gathered that the policemen allegedly delayed the motorcyclist for hours before they were later released. The woman reportedly died some minutes after.

Youths in the area blamed the police for her death. As a way of protest, they took her corpse and dumped it at the Abigi Divisional Police Headquarters.

Confirming the incident to Tribune, the spokesperson of the state police command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, denied the claim that police officers caused the pregnant woman's death.

“Our officers were not responsible for the pregnant woman’s death. There were three occupants on a motorcycle as against the directive of the state government that only two people should occupy a motorcycle at a time. They were stopped and interrogated on why they did not obey the sit at home order. They informed the police that the woman was being conveyed to hospital for delivery, and having noticed that the woman was in pains, our men allowed them to proceed,” he said

Future sued by his 'babymama' Eliza Reign who claims he’s never met their 'daughter' and ‘hasn’t paid a penny’ in child support. He responds on Twitter..

Future has reportedly been sued by one of his babymamas, Eliza Reign Seraphin, who is claiming he has never met their one-year daughter and hasn’t paid a penny in child support.

According to The Sun, the American rapper was recently declared the father of the model's child after a paternity test was submitted as part of an ongoing lawsuit.

In new court papers obtained by The Blast, Eliza claimed that Future whose real name is Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn is yet to play his role in their daughter's life.

The 29-year-old Haitian model based in the US alleged: "For over a year, the Plaintiff herein has refused to acknowledge his paternity of the parties’ minor child."

"He's never paid a penny in support for the minor child, and in fact is never even met the minor child."

She also sued Future, 36, for allegedly defaming her name by refusing to admit his paternity and making accusations about her mental health and sexual conduct.

The documents claimed: "Ms. Wilburn has stated in public forums on both the internet and in his music that Ms. Seraphin 'stole my last name.'

"This allegation that Ms. Seraphin 'stole my last name' refers to Mr. Wilburn’s misguided idea that Ms. Seraphin was somehow able to unilaterally impregnated herself with Mr. Wilburn’s DNA (rather than because of the two years of unprotected sex the parties had previously engaged in) and that by giving the child who was subsequently conceived as a result of these sexual relations Mr. Wilburn’s last name, that Ms. Seraphin thereby 'stole' Mr. Wilburn’s last name."

In 2018, she said she had an on and off affair with Future for 2-years and in the process got pregnant for him. She also alleged that the rapper asked her to get an abortion, and when she refused, he threatened to physically harm her.

Eliza reportedly claimed she took these threats seriously and reported him to the Police.

She is suing the rapper for libel, slander, and emotional distress.

Soon after news of the new lawsuit surfaced, Future who on Mother's Day celebrated six of his babymamas and left Eliza out, took to Twitter to react in a series of tweets.

"A song that mark ran last night on night owl sound set shouldn't have been played," he wrote on his Instagram Stories. "It's a song that leaked 3 years ago and got scrapped shortly after. He was just going too deep in the drake/ future catalogue."
He continued, "Last thing I'd want to do is wake up having any friends of mine feeling disrespected so I just had to say that to start off the day."

Back in October in 2019 after Kylie's split from boyfriend Travis Scott, Drake and Kylie were spotted together on several different occasions fuelling rumors they were dating.
Drake in 2018 was involved in a feud with Jenner's brother-in-law Kanye West when the 'Jesus Walks' rapper allegedly revealed Drake had a secret son to fellow rapper Pusha-T, who then turned the gossip into a series of diss tracks.
