How To Keep a BOYFRIEND

Having a boyfriend is great, especially one that you can be yourself around. The trick is to first get a good boyfriend, and then you get to figure out how to keep him.

 poolunii

*ALWAYS RESPECT HIM:

Don’t degrade him in anyway, what’s worse than

having a boyfriend that dislikes you?

*DON’T FORGET HE HAS FEELING TOO:

All guys do, and they want you to care about them

as much as they care about you. So don’t forget to

ask them how their day went& if anything is bothering

them.

*DON’T FORCE THEM TO FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU:

Love is something  that comes naturally and by forcing it,

you’re proving that  you are not a good girlfriend.

*ALWAYS BE YOURSELF:

If he likes you, he will like all of you.  And if you like him, you

have to accept his weird & sometimes annoying behaviors too, because everybody has them.

I hope this helps…

6 Characteristics Of Most Awesome Girlfriend Ever

There are 6 characteristics of an awesome girlfriend no guy can ever resist...
couple_in_bed

1. She is honest

Every guy appreciates his girlfriend being an honest person. Moreover, most men like things to be told straight so that they don’t have to question or guess what the girl means. Honesty leads to trust - the basis of any relationship.

2. She is fun and friendly

We love the ones who can make us smile and enjoy every moment spent together. Thus, if the two of you have a similar understanding of the word "fun", doing these funny activities together can make you even more attached to each other.

3. She is loyal

Neither women, nor men like to be cheated on. Jealousy is a feeling capable of destroying the most passionate love. To avoid the break-up don't flirt with other guys, just make him know you can be trusted.

4. She is loving out loud

It doesn't mean you need to tell your man every five minutes how much you love him. Just remember to let him know that you care about him. Believe it: men are extremely sensitive, and he will appreciate this move.

5. She is not needy

Guys love independent girls, who have the lives of their own. Getting all your attention concentrated on your man is not a good idea. Meet your friends, find your hobbies when a man enters your life. Make it all balanced...

6. She thrills him with spontaneous adventures

Watching TV together is fine, but not every singe day. We all need some rock-n-roll in our life from time to time. It can be something as simple as going to a new restaurant to try foreign food you’ve never tasted. It is up to you to chose the best option for you two.

We Haven’t Received Directive To Refund Applicants’ Money – NIS, Ministry Of Interior

Paradang-and-Moro-
There are indications that the Federal Government may not refund the N1, 000 application fee that was paid by each of the over 500, 000 job-seekers that applied for various vacancies advertised by the Nigerian Immigration Service.

However, following the ill-fated recruitment exercise on Saturday, March 15, which resulted in the death of at least 19 applicants, the FG after its weekly Federal Executive Council meeting on Wednesday, announced the cancelation of the exercise and subsequent refund of the application fees.

But the Public Relations Officer of the NIS, Mr. Emeka Obua, on Saturday said that the top echelon of the service had not received any directive on the refund of the money.

He said such a directive would come from the Federal Government to Minister of the Interior, Mr. Abba Moro.

Also, the Ministry said no directive had been given to it from any quarters to refund the money to applicants.

The Special Assistant to the Minister on Media, Mr. George Ubong, in a telephone interview with one of SUNDAY PUNCH’s correspondents, said no such directive had been received in the ministry.

“We have not received any directive to refund any money”, he stated.

Ubong also denied the allegation that the contracting firm, Drexel Nigeria Ltd., which handled the exercise, was single-handedly picked by the minister, saying the firm had been registered with the Ministry of Interior as a contractor long before the appointment of Moro.

“The man has been a contractor with the ministry of interior before the advent of the minister. The minister doesn’t know him”, he said.

Kidnappers fed me with garri and oil – Jonathan’s uncle

Chief Inengite Nitabai, President Goodluck Jonathan’s uncle and adopted father, has been rescued by the police after 18 days in the kidnappers’ den.

However, Nitabai, whose abduction had occupied media space, has sour tales to tell.

Narrating his ordeal in the hands of his captors, Nitabai, a former university lecturer, said his abductors fed him with garri and oil for the 18 days he was held captive.

He also said he was blindfolded throughout the period.

He said  he was almost submerged in a swamp while the kidnappers were moving him from one spot to another because he was blindfolded.

The already emanciated man, said, “My ordeal in the hands of my captors was simply horrendous.

“I was blindfolded  for those 18 days. So I did not see my abductors.

“They fed me with garri and oil. There was a day they were asking me some foolish questions and I kept quiet. They were upset and beat me up. It was a miracle I did not die that day.”

Inengite said he had yet to know the motive behind his abduction.

When reminded that it could be because of his relation with President Jonathan, he answered that he could not rule it out.

The septuagenarian, who had lectured at Rivers State University beforing moving to the Niger Delta University, where he retired, was abducted by 10 gunmen about 9pm on February 23, 2014.

It took about four days before the kidnappers opened up channel of communication with the family.

In one of those discussions, they demanded ransom of N500m from the victim’s family.

The kidnappers were said to be infuriated when the family members said they could only afford N30m.

The offer was rejected by the kidnappers, allegedly saying the amount was “unpresidential.”

However,  the police asked the family not to pay any ransom. This was also supported by the Ijaw Youth Council.

The police later arrested the father of a man suspected to be the mastermind of the abduction.

The arrest of the mastermind’s father was said to caused confusion in the captors’ camp.

The police were said to have used the development to hit them.

A police source, who craved anonymity, said the arrest of the mastermind’s father weakened the abductors bargaining edge.

It was learnt that it was in the midst of the confusion that the police anti-kidnapping squad closed in on them.

It was further learnt that the kidnappers abandoned their captive when they sighted the police.

The Commissioner of Police, Bayelsa State Command, Mr. Hillary Opara, said Nitabai was rescued in the early hours of Thursday.

Opara said Nitabai was rescued at Ogboma, off Odioma in Brass Local Government Area.

He said the kidnappers abandoned their captive when the police anti-kidnapping operatives closed in on them (kidnappers) in an operation that took place between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

Opara said, “Since Chief Inengite Nitabai was kidnapped, we have been working with other security stakeholders to rescue the victim.

“He was rescued at about 12.05am on Thursday. We applied professionalism in the way and manner we handled the operation.

“I thank the Nitabais for heeding the advice of the  police not to pay ransom.

“I also wish to thank my boss in Zone 5 and the Inspector General of Police for their advice and not stampeding us.”

The commissioner also commended Governor Seriake Dickson, who he said, funded many trips that they undertook in the course of the rescue.

Opara said the police had fortified the Ogbia area, which had been the hotbed of many kidnappings.

FG Explains ‘Missing’ N24bn Police Pension Fund

pension-fund
Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Mrs. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala yesterday denied that N24 billion police pension fund was unaccounted for in the Pension Transitional Arrangement Department (PTAD). Instead, she explained that the amount represented “an over-estimation of pension arrears”.

Recall that last Tuesday, the new Director General of the PTAD Nellie Mayshak stunned members of the House of Representatives committee on public accounts when she stated that the N24 billion released from Service Wide Vote for the payment of police pension in 2010 could not be traced.

However, spokesperson for the finance minister, Paul C. Nwabuikwu last night in a statement said as the minister told the senate joint committee on Pensions Administration in March 2012, “she ordered the account frozen to prevent fraud based on reports of suspicious transactions”.

The statement, however, confirmed the amount to have been an excess in the “frozen” account, saying “of the amount in the account, N24 billion was discovered to be an over-estimation of pensions arrears.

“The money was subsequently returned to govern-ment coffers as is the standard practice”, the statement said.

TCN To Demolish Buildings Close To High Power Installations

high-tension
The Board of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has warned that it would demolish structures built within close range to high-powered electricity installations across the country.

It has also warned those erecting residential structures close to its electricity installations, both power stations and transmission sub-stations to desist with immediate effect.

The warning came as the board undertook an inspection tour of the Enugu Region of the TCN.

TCN Board Chairman and immediate past governor of Ebonyi State, Dr. Sam Egwu, led other members on the inspection tour.

He expressed shock that people could endanger their lives and that of their family members by living in close proximity to electricity sub-stations and other high-powered installations.

Fielding questions from reporters on the observation of buildings close to the Onitsha sub-station, in Anambra State, Dr. Egwu said, “It’s not only here we have observed this, we saw it in Port-Harcourt.”

He said, “In fact, there is a sub-station where an individual built his residence inside the premises of TCN, but that is the problem we have in this country.

“We blame government for most problems, yet we cause trouble for ourselves. Otherwise, why should a normal human being risk the life of his entire family by building a residential building close to high power installations, sometimes under high-tension wire?”

He added: “Look at buildings very close to this sub-station; they are not supposed to be built here, but they have decided to defy instructions and build their structures, residential buildings for that matter.

“So, this is a situation we have found and as a Board. We are going to look at it and we believe that we are going to take an action that will not be palatable to those who have flouted the laws of the land”.

The former Ebonyi State governor decried the level of decay in the Enugu region.

How Fred Ajudua Stole $6 million From Nigeria’s ex-Army Chief, Bamaiyi – EFCC

ajudua_1 (4)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC yesterday brought fraudster Fred Ajudua to a Lagos High Court, Ikeja for allegedly defrauding Ishaya Bamaiyi, over 6 Million Dollars.

The EFCC is prosecuting Mr. Ajudua on a 14-count charge bordering on obtaining $6 million (about N1 billion) from Mr. Bamaiyi, a former Chief of Army Staff, under false pretences.‬ ‪The defendant allegedly collected the money from Mr. Bamaiyi while the duo were in custody at Kirikiri Prison, Lagos.‬ ‪Mr. Ajudua, 52, pleaded not guilty to all the counts.‬

‪A PRISONYARD DEAL‬ ‪Between November 2004 and March 2005 while he was in custody at Kirikiri Prison, the EFCC said that Mr. Ajudua conspired with some prison inmates to defraud Mr. Bamaiyi, who was also in prison, of millions of dollars and naira.‬ ‪The defendant’s accomplices – Alumile Adedeji (also known as Ade Bendel), Mr. Jonathan, Mr. Kenneth, and Princess Hamabon Williams – are still at large, according to the EFCC.‬

The defendant and his cohorts had approached Mr. Bamaiyi, who was facing trial for the attempted murder of Alex Ibru, the Publisher of The Guardian newspaper, and convinced him they could secure his freedom.‬ ‪And then the transaction began, according to the anti-graft agency.‬ ‪Mr. Bamaiyi first allegedly paid $330,000 to Mr. Ajudua as part payment for the professional fees purportedly charged by Afe Babalola, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, to handle his case and facilitate his release from prison.‬

‪Other cash payments for Mr. Babalola’s services followed in quick succession – $1.5 million; $80,000; $500,000; $200,000; $500,000; $175,000; $50,000; $510,000; $450,000; $1.6 million; $2 million; and N1 million.‬ ‪The EFCC said that the funds were laundered through Abdullahi Garba, then Assistant Comptroller of Prisons; Garba Tagda; Lawal Danladi and others.‬ ‪‘ABUSE OF COURT PROCESS’‬ ‪Prior to Tuesday’s arraignment, the EFCC had continually accused Mr. Ajudua’s lawyers of abuse of court process in their attempt to stall their client’s arraignment and trial.‬

At the last sitting, the judge had ruled against the defence’ application to quash the charges against him as well as questioning the court’s jurisdiction to try him.‬ ‪On Tuesday, Olalekan Ojo, the defence lawyer, informed the court that he had lodged an appeal against the March 3rd ruling.‬

“In order to demonstrate the seriousness of the defendant, the defendant compiled the record of appeal and had it transmitted to the Court of Appeal, Lagos State Division, on the 10th day of March 2014,” said Mr. Ojo.‬ ‪“In addition to the transmission of the record of appeal, the defendant has filed a motion at the Court of Appeal on the same 10th March 2014. The record of the appeal as well as the motion on notice of the appeal has been served on the complainant respondent.

It was duly acknowledged by the EFCC,” Mr. Ojo added.‬ ‪Mr. Ojo said that their relief before the Court of Appeal is for a stay of proceedings or alternatively suspending Mr. Ajudua’s arraignment or plea-taking before the High Court.‬ ‪“It is my humble submission that the defendant’s application before the Court of Appeal raises issues of further proceedings before this court and apply that Your Lordship out of deference to the Court of Appeal adjourn proceedings in this case to await the decision of the Court of Appeal.‬

‪“This is to ensure that the jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal over the matter and the motion in particular is not interfered with either directly or indirectly or the Court of Appeal is not faced with a fait accompli,” Mr. Ojo added.‬ ‪Responding to Mr. Ojo’s argument, Kingsley Olusesi, the EFCC lawyer, insisted that Mr. Ajudua be arraigned since he had appeared before the court.‬

“This is a criminal trial. He is supposed to file a stay of proceedings here and if it is refused, he then goes to Court of Appeal. It’s a clear abuse of court process. They know what they are doing. The plea must be taken today and a date for trial fixed,” Mr. Olusesi added.‬

‪In her short ruling, Oluwatoyin Ipaye, the trial judge, agreed with the EFCC lawyer and ordered that Mr. Ajudua take his plea.‬ ‪“The mere transmission of a record of appeal to the Court of Appeal does not immediately assume jurisdiction of the matter,” the judge ruled.‬ ‪“This application to suspend hearing is hereby refused,” she added.‬ ‪Court proceedings began in the morning but was suspended till afternoon due to Mr. Ajudua’s absence.

His lawyer told the court that he was still on his way from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital where he had been receiving treatment for his kidney ailment.‬ ‪Like in subsequent proceedings, Mr. Ajudua was helped into the dock by two prison warders when he arrived in the afternoon.‬ ‪In the middle of his plea-taking, the judge asked him to sit and rest for two minutes before continuing.‬

After the last count was read to him which erroneously stated that Kirikiri Prison was located in Ikoyi, Mr. Ajudua declined to plead guilty or not guilty, saying that the charge “doesn’t make sense.”‬ ‪The judge directed the registrar to make the appropriate correction after which the defendant pleaded not guilty.‬

The judge adjourned till April 8 for the hearing of all pending applications, including the one for bail.‬ ‪Mr. Ajudua, alongside Charles Orie, is also facing another trial for defrauding Remy Cina and Pierre Vijgen, two Dutch businessmen, of $1.69 million (N287 million).
