APRIL 11, 2015 POLL : SENATOR OKOWA'S SUPERLATIVE VICTORY; A WATERSHED.

By Vincent Jude Oshiagwu.

Senator Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa's superlatively differentiated performances as a Local Government Secretary and subsequent Chairman at the same tier of governance undoubtably endeared him to the hearts of two major administrations in Delta State since 1999. He proved himself to be young, dynamic and extraordinarily focused beyond his contemporaries of equal political and social upbringing.

One stage led to another and another until April 11, 2015, when senator Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa as a governorship candidate under the Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP, won overwhelmingly in a landslide victory, so remarkably outstanding and second to none. It was a watershed. Imagine where the total scores of senator Okowa's opponents in a guber election could not make thirty percent of his own score, as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. The difference is clear.

The signs of good things to come to all Deltans are now more obvious than before. The prosperity for all Deltans was never a campaign slogan but a potential reality, now approaching an unquantifiable manifestation.

From Agriculture to Water Resources and management to Health and to other miscellenous portfolios and necessities, there is resounding hope for all Deltans regardless of tribe, religion and political affiliation. Incidentally, senator Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa has been commissioner in many ministries in Delta State. Therefore, he expectedly knows his onions and knows how to dot his i and cross his t whenever and wherever the need arises for the good of Deltans. Without mincing words, Delta State is in safe hands.

The only room that forever has space is the room for improvement. All Deltans with sound and clearer mind can boldly say the out-going government of Dr. Emmanuel Ewetan Uduaghan as governor of Delta State had done well in all ramifications. From empowerment to employment, human-capital development, peace and security and otherwise, they did not fail. However, the sound in the breeze, signs in the sun, moon and stars and even the new shape of flowers in Delta State , all show a coming betterment in senator Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa.

The time, therefore, for joyful celebration is now as its going to be better life for all Deltans. The best is just ahead.

Long live senator Okowa,
Long live Delta State.
