AGBOR TECHNICAL COLLEGE: WE ARE GOING TO EMPLOY MORE QUALIFIED TEACHERS -Mr. EBIE

The Commissioner for Basic Education, Delta State, Mr. Chiedu Ebie has assured that more qualified teachers will be employed to train students that will be admitted to the refurbished Agbor Technical College. The commissioner made the disclosure while feeding interview by journalist shortly after the inspection visit paid to the College by the executive Governor of Delta State, Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, on Monday last week.
According to him, “we are looking forward to a new Technical College we have always known it to be when it was established by the previous administration, hence, we will ensure that more qualified teachers are employed to train the students of the college.
Commenting on the work done so far by the contractor handling the refurbishment of Agbor Technical College, Mr. Ebie noted that barely 32 days the contractors were mobilized to site, the work done so far have been commendable without compromise on quality explaining that there are evidence on ground to show their good works. Furthermore, he was hopeful that within the shortest period of time the whole projects in the 3 senatorial district of Delta State will be completed to specification.
On the issue of indigenes encroaching into the school's properties the commissioner reaffirmed that the state government through the ministry of Education will look into the issue and also ensure that those who acquired land in the school premises illegally will pay compensation to government as government will not want to embark on destroying their buildings. He disclosed that the school will be creating more awareness to admit more students even as he noted that the school of about 1.6 square kilometres will be fenced to secure its properties and the students.
