Nigerians Have Started Feeling The Impact Of Buhari’s Leadership Style, Says Oshiomhole
Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State on Tuesday said Nigerians are faring better under the President Muhammadu Buhari administration.
He observed that in less than 90 days of the All Progressives Congress-led Federal Government, Nigerians had begun to feel the impact of Buhari’s leadership style.
“I understand now that electricity suppy is stable. It is just the fear of Buhari that leads to the stability of power”, Oshiomhole said at the 27 Annual Education conference of the textile workers in Kaduna.
The conference has as its theme “Buhari administration: revival of the textile industry and employment creation”.
He further stated that the Federal Capital Territory that was noted for darkness because the “street lights” were not functioning, was now aglow with lights at night.
This, he noted, was because it was no longer business as usual.
“I am now a proud Nigerian. The street lights (FCT) before now are not functioning but immediately Buhari was sworn-in, the light came up. There is hope for Nigerians under President Buhari”, he added.
The governor used the occasion to call on the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress to emerge from its crisis to support the government of Buhari in order to move the country forward economically.
According to the Edo governor, the problem of the collapsed textile industry was not as result of funding but policy somersault on the part of the previous government and high level of corruption.
He stressed that the industry needs coherent policy, noting that with Buhari at the helm of affairs, the wrongs of the past will be addressed.
He, however, warned the Nigerian Customs Service that this was not the right time for the service to aid smugglers, as according him, “President Buhari will deal seriously if they (Customs) collude with smugglers”.
