Kogi Guber: No Automatic Ticket For Wada – PDP

The national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday said it had no plans to give automatic ticket to Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State in order to enable him run for a second term in office.

The National Organising Secretary of the party, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha, stated this at a press briefing in Abuja.
He spoke after the party’s National Working Committee met to deliberate on the November 25 governorship election in Kogi State.

Mustapha said there would be a primary election in September where the party’s flag bearer is expected to emerge.

He declared that the party wants to be just and fair to all aspirants who, he said, might be interested in contesting the Kogi State governorship election on the platform of the party.

The governorship primary elections of the PDP has been slated for September 10, Mustapha added.
