DELTA 2015: UZUM URGES YOUTHS TO VOTE FOR SENATOR OKOWA-UZUM IKA WEEKLY

Barr. Eugene Uzum has described youths as the leaders of tomorrow and therefore they should be given the necessary assistance to exercise their potentials.

Making this assertion while addressing a group of youths at Boji-Boji, Owa, at the resident of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa, Delta State PDP governorship hopeful, Barr. Uzum, who is also the secretary, Media and Publicity, Okowa Campaign Organization, assured Ika youths that the issue of empowerment is not negotiable, noting that it is one of the cardinal objectives in the priority list of Senator Okowa's transformational agenda as soon as he assumes the position of governor of Delta State.

Barr. Uzum while quantifying the leadership qualities of Senator Okowa said, “Senator Okowa is a leader who teaches people how to fish instead of giving them fish to eat”, stressing that necessary strategies have been put in place through entrepreneurship development, Agriculture , and skill acquisition to enhance the potential of youths and women in Ika land and the State in general.

He reiterated the need for Ika youths to work collectively and vote for Senator Okowa as the next governor of the State because according to him, the emergence of Senator Okowa as PDP governorship candidate was by divine intervention and a blessing to Ika land, Anioma nation and Delta State in general.

The legal icon cum politician noted that Agriculture would be given a boost as it remains the mainstream of, “our national wealth”, adding that necessary incentive and attention should be accorded to the sector for youths to exercise their potentials.

Barr Uzum descried the high level of youth unemployment advised them to remain resilient in their struggle, noting that Senator Okowa's government if elected as the governor will transform the state and create the enabling environment for the youths to showcase their talents.

He therefore appealed to the Ika youths to take advantage of the door to door campaign to preach, “Okowaism and Okowability,” to the people, saying “a leader has come to deliver the people form poverty and hunger.

Speaking in the same vein, Barr. Uzum while on a door to door campaign for the election of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa in Agbor called on the youths in Delta North Senatorial District to campaign and vote massively for Senator Okowa in the April 11 governorship election. He assured the people that Okowa has well developed strategies to answer most questions agitating the minds of Deltans.

Barr Uzum said Okowa's concern is to ensure that Deltans are happy. He further reassured the people that history is full of men and women who redeemed themselves from poverty, noting that Okowa is resolute in his course to wipe out poverty and unemployment in the state by transforming lives. The legal luminary urged the people to shun violence during and after 2015 elections and make sure that all their votes go to Okowa
