Govt Ready To Partner Investors To Create Jobs -Agas


THE Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG), Hon. Festus Ovie Agas , has expressed the state government’s readiness to partner with investors aimed at creating jobs and wealth for Deltans.

Hon. Agas stated his when he played host to the management team of A.J. Julioce Limited, Lagos and German Environmental Solutions (GES) Africa in Asaba.

While assuring them of an enabling environment in the state to invest, he said that the state government would provide them land and security, describing Delta State as peaceful and investment haven.

“We are interested in investors coming to invest in Delta State. We are willing to provide land as our equity. We will also collaborate with the Federal Government to provide security”, even as he lauded their initiative on Delta New Town Project and Delta Medical City.

Earlier, the Executive Director (Finance), Mr. Chuks Ajunwa, had said that the proposed Delta Medical City will have 1,200 beds categorized into type A, B and C and required 155 hectares of land.

According to him, the Delta Medical City will have facilities such as school, housing scheme, patients hostel, car park among others, while the Delta New Town Project ,which have facilities such as five star hotel, shopping mall, sports centre , office complex, club house, amusement park, green house, school and car park ,among others.

He dismissed the insinuation that they were partnering with Heritage Bank to finance the project as German Environmental Solutions for the technical support, pointing out that Deltans would benefit from the project through employment while the revenue of the state would also be increased if he project come on stream.

On his part, the MD/CEO, GS, Africa, Mr. Ernest Roesslem, while saying that they would provide the technical support, added that the project on completion will not only bring development to the state but also boost the revenue of the state as well as create employment for Deltans, especially the teeming unemployed youths.
