Buhari Fires NPA Boss, Ado Bayero, Reinstates Former MD Sacked By Jonathan
President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday terminated the appointment of the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Alhaji Sanusi Ado Bayero.
The termination of Alhaji Bayero’s appointment is with immediate effect.
Bayero was appointed NPA chairman on April 29, 2015 following the sack of Mallam Habibi Abdullahi by ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to a statement by the presidential spokesperson, Mr. Femi Adesina, President Buhari directed Bayero to hand over the management of the NPA and all government property in his possession to Mr. Abdullahi, who he reinstated as Managing Director of the NPA.
The President also wished Bayero well in his future endeavours.
