Simbo Davidson (MBBS, MPH, PCQI) who is a Public Health specialist working in a private hospital in Lagos, Nigeria has shared likely cure to Ebola which you need to know.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Premium Times, Dr Simbo Davidson has revealed some of the likely cure for the deadly Ebola disease that has killed over 673 people in Liberia and some other south western countries.

Although the Dr Simbo made it known that the current precautionary strategy which members of the public were informed about which include: hand-washing, isolation of infected persons, desisting from eating bush meats, desisting from having close contact with body fluids from an infected person amongst others can work theoretically but not practically.

The health expert made it known that those precautionary methods are avoidance methods and these kinds of method only reduce person-to-person transmission but does not guarantee a total curbing of the deadly viral disease.

The health specialist however went further to explain some of the likely solutions that can totally eradicate the pawns of Ebola. Highlighting likely solutions, Dr. Simbo said a definite high level of hygiene must be put in place. He said although the virus cannot thrive in a clean environment, it is impossible for some areas in many African countries to be so clean due to the urban slums and rural areas in major African cities.

He also said adequately manned isolation centres must be stationed at every districts or local government areas so as to combat being transferred to others from the process of burying and even being taken care of, by health workers who are not adequately informed about the deadly disease.

He concluded that the cycle of transmission can be interrupted by displacing reservoir of the virus, e.g killing animals with the Ebola disease and also protecting the " likely to be affected" people with vaccines. The Doctor however made his belief known about the positive outcome of these preventive measures and likely cures by saying this: "There is certainly no hard evidence that such an approach would be fruitless, while there is certainly compelling evidence that the outcome may be positive".
