Photo: Ighalo Compounds Ex-England Coach Woes, Makes History With Club


Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo picked up from where he stopped last week in the Barclays Premier League.

Ighalo who scored the winning goal for his team last weekend when they ended Swansea’s unbeaten record in the league, got off to a flying start again this weekend as he banged a brace to give his side their first away win this season

The first of his goals came as early as in the 9th minutes when he slotted home from close range after been set up by his teammate Deeney.

 The duo will repeat the combination again in the 28th minute to double the visitors lead.
Deeney played in Ighalo, and the Nigerian International rounds Newcastle goalkeeper Krul, before coolly slotting home.

Ighalo now has scored 4 Barclays Premier League goals this season. The energetic striker has four of his side’s five league goals this season.

Following Ighalo’s brace, Watford claimed consecutive Premier League victories for the first time in 16 years with the 2-1 win at Newcastle, while England’s former coach Steve McClaren’s wait for a first victory as Newcastle manager continues.

The striker who recently signed a new 5 year contract with his team, has revealed that his new five year contract does not give him security to relax on his laurels.
