A socio-political organization in Ika North East LGA”, Great One Love, which was at the for front of mobilizing for the electoral victory of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidates in the 2015 general elections in the state has applauded the Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and the member representing Ika North East Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Anthony Emeke Elekeokwuri for their performance since they were elected into their various positions.
In a statement issued by the co-ordinator of the body, Comrade Eluma Uzoma and made available to newsmen shortly after an enlarged meeting of the group held on Friday, October 16, 2015 at Umunede, the group noted that Governor Okowa has performed tremendously well in his few months in office especially, in the area of infrastructures and human capital development, citing the Youth Empowerment Scheme program (YAGEP and STEP), aimed at equipping the unemployed youths with agricultural and vocational skills as major step in checking unemployment, alleviating poverty and social vices.
Speaking in the same vein, the group commended Hon. Elekeokwuri for his vibrancy and effective contributions in proceedings at the state assembly, and assured Okowa and Elekeokwuri of their unalloyed support towards the successful implementation of the SMART Agenda of the State Government.
