Okowa flags off campaign at Oghara; reiterates the pursuit of a united and prosperous Delta - Jonathan Onwuka
The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate, Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, has reiterated his unwavering commitment to build a united and prosperous Delta State, when he assumes office as governor of the state.
Senator Okowa gave the assurance at Oghara, Ethiope West local government area of Delta State, at a rally to formerly flag --off his campaign. He said one of the priorities of his administration would be to to maintain a friendly and peaceful environment for human and infrastructural development.
He noted that PDP has remained one strong united family in the state, and expressed confidence that the party will emerged victorious in next month's general elections, which he said would further strengthened its supremacy in the state.
While urging Deltans to vote for all candidates of the PDP at all levels, starting with the President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Senator Okowa, said the party would continue to give purposeful leadership that would enhance the lives of the people.
According to him,"we will condition to partner with all segments of the society toward improving the living condition of our people through provision of needed infrastructure and services. All sectors, including agriculture, education, health, environment, housing, employment generation among others will be given priority attention."
Senator Okowa, who earlier paid a courtesy visit to the Ovie of Oghara, His Royal Majesty, Noble Oyibo Eshemitan, said his administration will partner with traditional rulers to create a friendly and peaceful environment for an improved socio--economic condition for Deltans.
While noting that Ethiope West local government area has been a traditional stronghold of PDP since 1999, the PDP governorship candidate, expressed confidence that the people of the area will vote overwhelmingly for the PDP, saying, "we look forward to getting massive votes from Ethiope West, as we promise not to disappoint you. Together we will build a better and prosperous Delta State.
The campaign train of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa was also at Koko, headquarters of Warri North local government area, where the PDP governorship candidate assured the people that his administration will carry them along in the development of Delta State, both in human and infrastructural development.
The rally was used to formerly unveil candidates of the PDP for different positions, both state and federal levels, to party faithful and Deltans through presentation of PDP flag to the candidates.
