Assassins Attack Young Shall Grow Motors Owner Chief Vincent Obianodo, Kill His Driver And Police.. Details

Suspected assassins struck in FESTAC Town, Lagos Tuesday night, shooting the owner of popular transport company, Young Shall Grow Motors, Chief Vincent Obianodo while on his way back from work.
A police Corporal, Ngozi Chijoke of the Patrol and Guards (PG), Lagos State Command, who was with him in his vehicle, was shot dead. Obianodo’s driver was also killed.
The gunmen, it was learnt, opened fire on Chief Vincent's vehicle around 10pm.
His vehicle had been double-crossed in a lonely area around 22 Road in FESTAC and the assailants
opened fire.
Some policemen who were on patrol heard the sound of the gunshots and moved to the scene which resulted in a serious exchange of gunfire.
Two of the gunmen were killed by the policemen who were on patrol while other members of the gang escaped with bullet injuries in a Highlander Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), which was riddled, perforated with bullets.
Police say one AK49 and AK47 rifles with 400 live ammunition and 10 fully loaded magazines were recovered from the suspects.
Chief Obianodo sustained bullet wounds in one of his hands, which he had used to block his chest against the hail of bullets.
A police source said he would have killed him if the police did not arrive on time.
Chief was rushed to an undisclosed hospital.
