What Was Found At Prayer Centre In Ondo Will Totally Shock You!
A decapitated body has been discovered at a prayer ground at Amese community in Akure, the capital of Ondo state.
The headless, yet-to-be-identified body was discovered on Wednesday, December 16 at the back of a mountain when worshippers went to pray on the mountain which was used as a prayer ground, The Punch reports.
The discovery of the decapitated body prevented the worshipers from holding their prayer session as they had to report the incident to the police but in a surprising twist, the police allegedly detained those who came to make the report before sending a team of officers to remove the body
An anonymous resident said: “After the matter had been reported at the Ijapo Police Station, the policemen combed the entire area, arresting residents indiscriminately. Those that went to report at the police station were also detained by the police. The police said the arrest of the people was part of their investigation.”
The resident also claimed that police went to neighbouring communities to make arrests thereby forcing the people to flee from their homes.
Another resident said the headless body must have been murdered somewhere else before his decapitated body was abandoned at the prayer ground.
Mr. Femi Joseph, the police public relations officer in the state confirmed the incident and said investigations have already started. He however denied that the police made indiscriminate arrests.
He said: “The police did not arrest anybody. When we got information about the incident, we sent our men there to remove the body and also invited some of the residents to ask a few questions from them. We did not arrest or detain anybody.”
In a related development, six mutilated female bodies were discovered in the Ikorodu area of Lagos. The bodies, found in a canal has raised suspicion in the neighbourhood.
