What Arsene Wenger Said About Chelsea’s Future
Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has stated that embattled Chelsea football club will definitely bounce back from their current status, adding that he disagrees that the club is in a relegation battle.
Chelsea football club relieved manager Jose Mourinho’s duties as coach on December 17, after the team lie 16th on the EPL table after 16 matches.
Wenger said: “If you ask me objectively: ‘Will Chelsea go down?’ I say, ‘no, no chance’.”
Arsenal play hosts to third placed Manchester City on Monday December 21, but the coach is unsure if Alexis Sanchez would be fit for the game after he sustained a hamstring injury in the draw at Norwich on 1 December.
“There is a very slight chance for Sanchez to be in the game,” said Wenger. “He is running but not participating in full training.
“It is still December. We are not fighting for the Premier League on Monday but we will look to nullify individual quality they have.”
