G.S.N, DELTA STATE CHAPTER, PAYS SOLIDARITY VISIT TO CHIEF ARTHUR OKOWA, ENDORSES HIM AS ITS PATRON

The members of Goodluck Jonathan's Support Network (GSN), Delta State Chapter, on Monday February 9 2015 paid a solidarity visit to Pa. Arthur O. Okowa, father of the Delta State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP's) flagbearer, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa at his residence in Owa Alero in Ika Northeast Local Government Area and Endorsed him as their patron.

Speaking during the visit the Delta State Co-ordinator of the group, Tucker Judge Newportright, noted that the membership of the G.S.N in Delta State cuts across all local government areas numbering about 458000, as at January 20 2015. He stated that the group is looking forward to partnering the Universal Basic Education (UBE) to ensure the victory of Senator Okowa at the governorship election. He also noted that the G.S.N cuts across the 36 states of the federation and that the purpose of the establishment of the group in Nigeria is to ensure that Goodluck Jonathan is re-elected as president.

Also speaking, the Delta North Co-ordinator, Mr. Tony Okobi (Igbu-Uzor), the Director, Council of Elders of the group, His Highness Crown Prince Desmond Ogduadu, Columbus Ogunamin, president general of Uzere Kingdom in Isoko local government area of the State and others who contributed during the meeting described Senator Okowa as the most credible and experience governorship candidate in the state.

The moderator, Hon. Wallace Okafor noted that the Senator is a political leader who has the interest of his people at heart treats everyone equally, irrespective of age, marital status, family and educational background or political party they belong to.

The group unanimously agreed that Senator Okowa is their candidate come rain come sun. They therefore assured Pa. Okowa that his son will be voted as governor.

Expressing gratitude shortly after the endorsement, Pa. Arthur Okowa said he is happy to be honoured and endorsed as the patron of Delta North G.S.N, he appreciated the group for their supports towards his son's governorship ambition in the state, and assured the group that he, as patron, will not fail to carry them along answer them anytime his attention is needed.

Some of the members present include, Rt. Hon. Chuks Agbomah, Chief Osai from Ndokwa West, Mrs. Happy, Delta Central, Comr. Itse Raoy Ututi Warri North LGA Co-ordinator, Comr. Kekai Preye, Cordinator, Bormadi LGA, and the Urhobo students co-ordinator Delsu Abraka, the State women leader Mrs. Comfort from Oleh who spoke on the need for Delta development if Senator Okowa emerges as governor and others.
