DELTA 2015 : O'TEGA EMERHOR AND GREAT OGBORU, NOT A MATCH FOR DR OKOWA - Vincent Jude Oshiagwu.

What has added glitz and glamour in recent times to Delta State politics as the race to UNITY house, Asaba intensifies ahead the upcoming general elections is the inherent competition among the political parties visibly seen by all Deltans. Frankly, and to state the obvious, competition plays a vital role as a pivotal tool needed to get the best in any bout.

Today, three major political parties , the Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP, the All Progressive Congress, APC and the Labour Party, LP in the state have each produced a candidate each to compete for the state's number one seat viz: Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, PDP, Dr. O'tega Emerhor, APC and chief Great Ogboru, LP. Though all three candidates are qualified to run the race, only one winner will emerge at the end.

However, haven watched, critically examined and emphatically analysed the pedigrees and track records of all the candidates in the race to ascertain who's, much more qualified, competent and better positioned to replace incumbent governor Emmanuel Uduaghan on May, 29, 2015, I could not but conclude that it is neither an epic battle nor battle royale as being perceived in some quarters, (especially UPU) but the coasting to victory of senator Ifeanyi Okowa as the other two candidates are not a match for him any time, any day, anywhere and anyhow. He's a political enigma with divine approval synonymous with crowd-pulling to the envy of his political opponents. He's God's plan for Delta State and an idea whose time has come. Remember, no man can alter God's plan and no man can stop an idea whose time has come.

Without any doubt, the major features that has continued to distinguish senator Ifeanyi Okowa; and which has added so much advantage to his chances of winning include the fear of GOD in him, the love and respect for those he serves, wide acceptance by a large majority of Deltans, his clean slate which he has kept for all the years he's been in government and his untainted reputation /integrity, coupled with the messy political baggage of his opponents in APC and LP .

For example, the chameleonic character of the flagbearer of one of the opposition parties leaves much to be desired . One wonders if he's actually prepared to govern our people. A three-time governorship candidate on the platform of three different political parties is nothing less than moral bankruptcy. It shows a man without plan and political wherewithal to lead..

The APC is another party with unfaithful and unstable flagbearer who have accepted defeat before the race begins, and for that I commend him because in all ramification, he's equally not a match for Dr. Okowa .

In all thses, the man Dr. Okowa, a faithful and loyal party man doesn't have a serious opponent(s) at the moment. He's unrivalled, unequalled and unstoppable.

At Agbor some weeks ago, one of the contestants during a rally sparsely attended, called the PDP a LION and referring to his own political party as a spider. That is the height of self-defeat. Can a spider challenge a Lion to a wrestling bout? Of course No.

Honestly, these political opponents have shot themselves on the foot and accepted defeat before the election proper, which puts the amiable senator ahead of them all. To state the obvious, the self-defeat is immeasurable.

The man senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa that we know is a high-flier in a class of his own who will not bow to boasters and antics of suckling corrupt political creche, who over the years have demonstrated the attitude of baby politicians with their amature politicking.

Today, the name Okowa makes the sad to rejoice, the weak to be strong, the helpless to be hopeful, the faint to be strengthened, and the frustrated to be focused, to say the least and putting in prints, the antecedents of the distinguished senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria can make this piece endless.

As a detribalised bridge builder who is poised to building the future for even the unborn generations, the Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa we know is out to break records and set the pace for others to follow. With him as governor, Delta State will witness rapid transformation in all sectors as he (Okowa) is determined to help those he serves bring out the best in them and be productive. No wonder he's been rated number ONE and referred to as a Lion. I rest my case.

Long live Delta State.
