Nollywood actress Rita Dominic shared a photo from the September 1st Nigerian Entertainment Awards (NEA) with the caption "Bringing it home Zamunda…We won!" The event held in New York city over the Labor Day weekend and was hosted by comedian Basketmouth. Rita was nominated for her role in "The Meeting" as Best Lead Actress in Film as well as in the category for Best Picture (Film Producer) also for The Meeting. It is unclear yet which award Rita secured but we'll be sure to bring it to you once we receive confirmation.
Other nominees in the Best Lead Actress category are Mercy Johnson, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Genevieve Nnaji, Uche Jombo and Joke Muyiwa. The movies nominated alongside The Meeting for Best Picture include Confusion Na Wah, Last Flight to Abuja, Heroes and Zeroes, The Twin Sword, and Alan Poza.
Rita wore a fitted blue lacy evening gown with somewhat of a cape hanging off her shoulders. Her outfit was designed by House of Nwocha. Yay or nay? What do you think of Rita's outfit?
