ANOTHER CLAPPING OVATION AS OKOWA FLOORS O'TEGA AND OGBORU AT THE APEX COURT

By Vincent Oshiagwu.

The lingering legal tussle between Gov. Ifeanyi Okowa and the duo of Olorogun O'tega Emerhor and Chief Great Ogboru have been finally put to rest at the Supreme Court today.

It will be recalled that the Electoral Tribunal and the Appeal Courts have pernultimate uphelded the victory of senator Okowa. But not satisfied with the rulings at both instances, the candidates of the Labour Party and APC proceeded to the Apex Court to seek redress where they were eventually disgraced as their case was thrown out for lack of merit.

Reacting to the judgement today, Deltans from all walks of life who were seen jubiliating in the streets of major towns and cities said the affirmation of Gov. Okowa's victory at the April 11, 2015 poll is a lucid confirmation of the votes given to him in that election.

According to Mr. Oghenekaro Ovie-Ogar a PDP stalwart in Ethiope East LGA, Gov. Okowa's victory today is victory for democracy indicative that the judiciary is the hope for the common man. In his word while speaking with the Delta State New Media correspondent today in Asaba, the Delta state capital, " the supreme court has spoken the mind of Deltans who against all intimidations by the opposition parties in the election still voted enmass for senator Okowa. This verdict is satisfactory even though we never expected anything less. It is victory for democracy and victory for Deltans".

With this judgement which has put the tussle to an end, the amiable Gov. Okowa can now settle down without distractions to deliver the much yearned dividends of democracy and prosperity to all Deltans.

Congratulations to the PDP, to Gov. Okowa and to the good people of Delta state
More details soon.
