COMR. VICTOR ENWEFAH COMMENDS ELEKEOKWURI, ASIWE ON SEND-ME- BACK TO-SCHOOL PROGRAM

The President of Idumu-Esah Youths Association, Boji-Boji branch, Comrade Victor Enwefah has commended the Send-Me-Back -To- School program initiated by the office of the SA to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on youth Development and the sponsor, Hon. Tony Elekeokwuri, member representing Ika North-East at the State House of Assembly.
The commendation came after the first batch of the program was successfully and transparently held at Ika National Hall on November 28, 2015, an occasion organized by National Association of Ika Students (NAIS) to mark their 2015 cultural day celebration.
Comr. Enwefah said that the program which is targeted at assisting students of higher institution financially is a welcome development initiated and sponsored by foresighted political office holders who have decided to distinguish themselves from others by embarking on a laudable and people-oriented project as this. Speaking, he said “they have done well and with what we witnessed today, they will go far. Our leaders should continue to support and sponsor students because when educational grants like this continue to be made available to students, the zeal to go to school will be there.”
“I believe it will help students in their academic work because there are so many things that are involved in schooling this days; feeding, books, etc. The send-me-back-to-school program is commendable and should be sustained because it will enhance their academic pursuit,” Comrade Enwefah added.
It will be recalled that on November 28, 2015, General Emeke Asiwe, SA to the governor on youth Development, through his office stormed NAIS Cultural day celebration to present educational grant (cash) to over 37 undergraduate of Ika North-East Local Government Area, through their send-Me-Back-To-School program introduced recently. The program which saw each of the undergraduate go home with N10,000 each, was sponsored by Hon. Tony Elekeokwuri to assist them in their pursuit of education.
Speaking before the cash was presented, General Emeke Asiwe said that only students from Ika North-East are to benefit as it was sponsored by the member representing them. He also said that efforts are under way to involve politicians from Ika South, especially, Hon. Festus Chukwuyem Okoh to sponsor the next phase of the program so that students from Ika South can benefit from it. General Enwefeh commended Hon. Tony Elekeokwuri and the executive governor of Delta State, Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa for their people oriented projects aimed at alleviating the sufferings of the people.
