Nollywood actress, Tayo Sobola has revealed that her
mother never allowed her to play with friends or mingle with people
while growing up, hence robbing her of her childhood.
Tayo made the disclosure in her recent chat with The Nation where she said: ‘I can never forget the fact that my mother never allowed us mingle and play with friends, I can’t forget how I will stand on the balcony wishing they will allow me go down stairs and play.’
She added that it was sad for her at the time, but that she is kind of grateful for the ‘iron hand’ her mum trained her with because she might have turned out wayward.
The actress also stated that she and her mother have a good relationship now and that the older woman supports her totally in all she does.
