Drinking THIS Can Cure Breast Cancer
The Poultry Association of Nigeria, PAN, in the South West has said that researches have shown that drinking of raw eggs could reduce the risk of breast cancer in women, saying that there was no relationship between the consumption of eggs and heart diseases.
The body also argued that there was no link between the consumption of eggs and the quantity of cholesterol in the human body system.
Addressing the media during the World Eggs Day in Abeokuta, weekend, PAN Chairman in the South West, Dr. Olufemi Faniyi, his Ogun State counterpart, Dr. Olalekan Odunsi and a veterinary surgeon, Dr. Jide Oluwawemitan blamed the medical professionals of misinforming the public about the health function of eggs.
According to PAN, the amount of cholesterol in eggs could not influence an increase in the quantity of cholesterol in the body system.
The body argued that it had been scientifically proved that eggs contain better quality of animal protein than that found in beef, fish and pork.
Faniyi stated that the higher consumption of eggs in countries such as Japan, Mexico and the United States of America had increased the rate of life expectancy higher than a country like Nigeria where the citizens consume less number of eggs.
“If a woman can drink six eggs per week, there is a likelihood of the reduction of the risk of breast cancer by 44 per cent,” Dr. Oluwawemitan said.
“It has been proved that egg contains better quality of animal protein than beef, fish and pork. It contains a lot of vitamins and minerals for brain and memory to function better.”
